What is off-Page SEO? Why is off-page SEO important?

Off-page SEO embodies any efforts taken outside of a website to optimizing its search engine rankings.

For example - Link building is a big part of Off-page SEO.

Off-page SEO plays an important role in the backend. Off-Page SEO’s main agenda is to create quality and trustworthy backlinks, including blog commenting, forum posting, influencer marketing, document and image submission, Wikipedia link submission, etc. 

Below are some of the important off-page SEO factors to consider:

  1. Domain Authority –

DA (Domain Authority) represents the quality of a website off-page SEO factor or an overall site performance. DA website has a better page rank in search engine result pages report.

2. Relevance –

It is important to get links leads from higher DA (Domain Authority) websites. However, it is also necessary that these websites be relevant to the one you want to link to.

3. Site Traffic –

The off-page SEO activities of websites like - forum posting, bloggers outreach, document and image submission, etc. can drive site’s traffic towards you.

4. Link Type –

Here are two types of links that we build while doing link building or off-page SEO activities. They are – Do-follow Link; and No-follow Link.

The traditional online and offline marketing activities can indirectly influence many of the off-page SEO factors that are mentioned above.

Off-page SEO activities might be harder than on-page SEO activities because many off-page factors are not entirely under your control. But the point is Off-page SEO activities are a more reliable factor in a ranking.
